Ian M. Barry
Ian Michael Barry was born in Liverpool, England. After serving with the Royal Air Force for many years, he and his young family immigrated to Canada for a better life. There he later spent an immensely rewarding time with the Royal Canadian Artillery. Ian is eternally grateful to Canada for the opportunities it has given him and his family.
Ian obtained his law degree from the University of London, England, passing with Honours. He achieved a Certificate of Canadian Law Degree Equivalency from the University of Ottawa in 2004 and was called to the Bar of Ontario in 2006. Ian has exclusively practiced personal injury law for plaintiffs throughout his career.
After articling with Graves Richard Harris, Ian took the opportunity to increase his knowledge and experience of personal injury law in a small but extremely busy Niagara law firm. This allowed him to appear at all levels of Ontario Courts including the Court of Appeal as well as appearing before the Workplace Safety Insurance Appeal Tribunal.
Ian works hard for his clients and never loses sight of the difficulties they are facing daily. He is very client focused and tries to help them in any way he can to minimize their problems. Ian will fight for a fair settlement of every client’s claim and to achieve a just outcome.
Ian is a member of the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association and the Lincoln County Law Association.
Ian is an officer with the Cadet Instructor’s Cadre of the Canadian Armed Forces, and can be found most Monday nights at 23 Squadron Royal Canadian Air Cadets in St. Catharines. Ian is also an active free mason and member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch 350 (Port Dalhousie).
